About
My eye is often drawn to things others might pass by. A worn door with peeling paint, a stylish woman on an old scooter, a charming bakery on a cobbled street.
I’m drawn to character. To colour. To imperfection. To what falls just outside the lines.
My paintings grow from that feeling. From what I notice in street scenes, in old photographs, or in details rich in character. They capture moments and people with something uniquely their own. Not perfect, but authentic and full of story.
Women often reappear in my work. Confident, unconventional and timeless.
My way of working reflects that as well. Although I’m a perfectionist, I welcome small imperfections, and lines don’t have to be perfectly straight. That is what gives my work its vitality.
My paintings show that beauty often lies in the overlooked, and that colour and character bring energy into a space.
